It is sad that there are no more grizzly bears in Sequoia National Park. Today these great bears live in the wild of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. They are also abundant throughout the state of Alaska, and in the country of Canada, as well.
I am a frequent visitor to see our “Alaska Family,”daughter Lynn Weyand Swanson, and two grandsons, Aaron and Brian and their respective families. A few years ago, I heard this story first-hand from a naturalist in Chugach State Park, the third largest state park in the United States, located near Anchorage, Alaska. A half million acres of rugged wilderness, it is the home of Moose, Grizzly Bear, Mountain Sheep, and so much more.
